The Bedford, Biggleswade and District branch of Cats Protection will be shut from 5pm on Sunday 3rd August until 9am on Monday 11th August to enable our volunteers to have a well deserved break. During this time the helpline will be closed and we will not be responding to emails. We look forward to continuing our work following this break. In an emergency please contact your vet or the RSPCA.

Because of the amount of spam we have been receiving, we now only have one e-mail address for the branch. If you would like to contact us, please use our general e-mail address:

and mention your area of interest. Your enquiry will then be forwarded to the appropriate person within the branch. Because messages need to be forwarded in this way, we cannot guarantee to respond to e-mails the same day, but we do respond as quickly as we can.

Adopting a Cat - if you are interested in offering one of our cats in need a home, please contact us to discuss the matter further. Please note that since home visits are compulsory before a cat can be rehomed, we are unable to place cats outside our geographical area of MK40 - 45 and SG15 - 18. Please also read the other criteria for adoption outlined on the Adopt a Cat page before contacting us.

Sponsoring a Pen - we have a steady turnover of cats in our care, who all use our pens, and your sponsorship helps us care for these cats. In return for a minimum annual donation of £10.00 (more for sponsors outside the UK in order to cover increased postage costs), sponsors will receive updates, with pictures, detailing the cats who have been helped by the pen.

Membership - if you would like to join Cats Protection Bedford, Biggleswade and District branch or have a query about your existing membership. We are always pleased to have new members and we can promise you a warm welcome.

Making a Donation - even if you can only give what you consider to be a small amount, please don't be embarrassed, it can make a BIG difference to one of our cats.
